Add From CD opens the CD Tracks dialog when an audio-CD is inserted in your CD-ROM drive. Use the Add From CD option to select the tracks to rip and encode.
Add from File opens your directory folders to select a file to add to the Encoding Queue.AudioCatalyst supports 8 or 16-bit PCM-based WAV or AIFF files.
Encode Direct Sound in allows you to use your CD-ROM drive as an analog source or other analog sources (such as a microphone, record player, or sound mixer connected to your sound-in port) as your input for creating an MP3 file. Use Encode Direct Sound in to save your analog source to a temporary file and then encode it.
RealTime Encoding allows you to use your CD-ROM drive as an analog source or other analog sources (such as a microphone, record player, or sound mixer connected to your sound-in port) as your input for creating an MP3 file in RealTime. RealTime Encoding requires a very fast computer. If your computer is not fast enough to encode in RealTime, use the Encode Direct Sound in option.
Fetch CD Information is enabled when you insert a disc in the CD-ROM drive. If you have a connection to the Internet, AudioCatalyst can connect you to the Compact Disc Data Base (CDs). CDDB is used for retrieving disc title and track names from an Internet database. CDDB consists of servers containing CD information from all over the world. When you select Fetch CD Information, AudioCatalyst connects to CDDB to retrieve the CDDB Information.
Quit closes the AudioCatalyst program.
